Exhibition Overview (Purpose & Intent)
In Korea, when something is described as exquisitely beautiful, people often say, “It looks as if it has been embroidered.” Embroidery is one of the traditional art forms that best expresses the Korean sense of beauty.
Master embroiderer Lee Jung Hee delicately weaves tradition into each stitch, capturing the depth and elegance of Korean embroidery, and aims to share its cultural value widely.
- To showcase the excellence and uniqueness of traditional Korean arts
- To present works combining royal embroidery techniques with modern sensibilities
- To promote the value of Korean traditional embroidery domestically and internationally
- To offer a cultural experience enjoyed by both disabled and non-disabled visitors
